Task Status Tasks move through a lifecycle.  Each stage of that lifecycle is indicated by a Task Status:
At initial assignment, a task is updated to a status of Not Started, if the company that the Task has been assigned to, is Connected with the assigner's company. If the company that the task has been assigned to is not connected with the assigner's company, then status is set to Waiting for connection.
Once a User begins responding to a Task, the Task status is updated to In Progress
The assigning User can force a task to a Closed status, provided the task has not been started.
A task is automatically moved to a Completed status once all of it's steps have been completed.

Company Connection Status Companies in the Clover Network are described in terms of their "connection status" relative to your own company.  A company will remain in the Non-Connected status until someone at your company has sent the company a connection invitation.  Once an invitation has been sent, the company's connection status is updated to Invited. When a User at the invited company has accepted your invitation the company's connection status will be updated to Connected.

Product Access Type These product access types are not currently used but will become relevant with a future feature that is under development at the time of this writing.
